Dori Glabe2011: eCommerce and Member Assistant
"My internship with GROW Nebraska was both stimulating and challenging. They are open to new ideas and appreciate my input. GROW Nebraska understands that a team is only as good as their weakest link and strive to 'grow' their staff to reach their full potential."
Heidi Garvin2010-2011: Social Media Specialist and Retail Worker
"When I started my internship with GROW, I had no idea that I was about to fall in love with a job. I'd done internships before, waitressed, written newspaper articles, and worked in call centers, but I'd never found any employment prior to GROW that was as fulfilling and interesting as my internship with GROW. Now, two years later, I still adore working for GROW!"
"GROW Nebraska internships offer variety, learning experiences and the chance to make a real difference. I'm still amazed by how many projects I've gotten to work on: eCommerce, retail, social media and more! All of these projects presented opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and the chance to assist passionate entrepreneurs. How fulfilling that is! Definitely the best internship I've ever had."

"In the two summers I worked for GROW Nebraska™ I was given major projects that gave me real-world marketing experience—no filing papers and filling coffee cups with this company. In fact, I attribute the experience I gained with GROW Nebraska™ as the reason I was selected for a lucrative marketing internship with Disney just months after working for this great Nebraska company."
Janelle SchoenManaged 2007 State Fair Store project
"Interning for GROW Nebraska™ was a great learning experience and chance to meet many talented enteprenuers throughout the state. Putting together the State Fair General Store was a great way to learn organizational and communication skills. I loved planning the event. It was great to work for an organization that values the opinions of its employees and cultivates fresh ideas to improve member services.
I have used the skills I learned in other organizations I have worked for or been a part of since interning. The confidence I gained and the connections I made through this experience have been more valuable than I could have ever imagined."
Elizabeth (Christensen) MartinManaged 2006 State Fair Store project
"Interning with GROW Nebraska™ was a great experience. I had the opportunity to see what Nebraska has to offer in goods and services. I learned a lot managing the 2006 GROW Nebraska™ General Store at the Nebraska and co-managing the Lincoln holiday store in Westfield Mall in Lincoln. Many GROW members are passionate about their business and working with them to improve things like packaging and labeling to take their product further was awesome. Working with GROW Nebraska™ gave me networking opportunities while promoting what the state of Nebraska has to offer."
