Forbes joins Central Plains Foundation Board of Directors
(Holbrook, NE) - Central Plains Foundation, Inc. based in Holbrook, Nebr. is pleased to announce that Steven T. Forbes of Beaver City will serve a three-year term on the Central Plains Foundation, Inc. board of directors. “We are extremely pleased Steve joined our board. His leadership and past experiences will be valuable assisting Central Plains Foundation, Inc. in meeting its mission of job creation and retention for rural Nebraska,” stated John Koller, president. As a board member, Forbes will be responsible for overseeing Central Plains Foundation, Inc. projects, which include the award winning incubator business complex Central Plains Technology and Business Development Center and GROW Nebraska, a statewide marketing training program for Nebraska businesses.
Steve Forbes is a community minded individual who brings a wealth of experience to the Central Plains Foundation, Inc. board of directors. Currently, Forbes is the office manager for Kaufman Trailer in Beaver City. Prior to his present position, he worked for Kelly’s Market in Beaver City for 23 years and was the co-manager for seven years. Forbes has been extremely active in the Beaver City community where he served on the Beaver City Council for four years and as Mayor for eight years. He is the current president of the Beaver City Area Community Foundation and is a member of Beaver City Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
