It's Training Time!
During these harsh economic times, we’re all looking for ways that our businesses can save money and increase sales. Not an easy task! But if you harness the proper technology, you can reach your target market at almost no cost to your business.

Join us for networking and a marketing workshop, brought to you by GROW Nebraska and the NBDC on October 25, 2011 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Mammal Hall, 6708 Pine Street, Omaha. GROW Nebraska recently received a Google Grant which allows us to use up to $330 per day in Google AdWord advertising. As of now, we are not using up our total daily budget, so we need your help. If you have products available on ShopGrowNebraska.org and would like FREE AdWords for them, please fill out the form here. This is a great opportunity to try Google AdWords for free before investing in them yourself.

Russ's B & R Tasting Opportunity

Due to the wonderful success of the Russ's B & R Tasting Opportunity in July, they have agreed to hold another tasting on the afternoon of November 8 with set up at noon and the event running from 1:00 to 2:30 at the Russ's B & R offices. For this tasting, they are open to both food products and products that are not food items but that can still be sold in a grocery store setting. Examples may include bath and body, candles, outdoor products, etc.

Promote Your Business through the GROW Getter Or Just Save Big!

As many of you have probably noticed, GROW Nebraska has been piloting a promotion called the GROW Getter. Each Wednesday at 11 a.m., an e-mail is sent to all members, those who have signed up for our promotions list, and all of those who have purchased off of our eCommerce site. It promotes a GROW Nebraska item that is 30% off. This percentage is currently taken from GROW Nebraska's cut of the sale.

Get Featured in the NEF Legislative Report

Calling All Writers!

The Nebraska Arts Council announces the call for entries for the 2012 Individual Artist Fellowship (IAF) award program in Literature (Fiction, Non-Fiction and Poetry).

The application deadline is Nov. 15th. Complete information on how to apply, including eligibility, manuscript criteria, and the link to SlideRoom, is available on NAC’s website, www.nebraskaartscouncil.org (go to the Artists/IAF section). Writers apply directly online here. A nominal $5 processing fee is assessed at the time of application. Awardees will be announced in the spring of 2012.
